Following Sunday’s simultaneous EGMs, we’re delighted to announce that Liberal and Reform Judaism have officially united to form Progressive Judaism.
With over 95% support from both movements, this historic merger brings together more than 80 communities — including ours — in a shared commitment to inclusivity, equality, and modern Jewish life. Progressive Judaism now represents one-third of all synagogue-affiliated Jews in the UK.
This is an exciting step forward, strengthening our collective voice and deepening our values. Our Chair will be writing about this in the next edition of Etrog.
