18th June, 5:30pm, Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation

Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation have established an unusual and fascinating Biblical Garden consisting of a selection from the more than 500 plants mentioned in the Torah, the Mishnah and the Talmud.
Plants were used for many things – rituals, offerings, tithes, dying, making soap, symbols, metaphors, allegories, medicine, prohibitions, cooking among them. The plants bring with fascinating stories about the reasons for their mention in the Bible.
Our friends at EHC have generously invited us to come and see for yourselves on this special tour of the garden.
Please email contact@eljc to book your free place. There’s a limit of 20 places. The tour is suitable for older children as well as adults.
