David Ian Neville meets Gary Jacobs and Colin Grant, the Co-authors of FIGHTBACK: the incredible life story of the greatest Jewish boxer of the past half century (according to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame).
Glasgow-born Jacobs was a warrior from his early childhood. As a professional boxer he won the European, Commonwealth, British and Scottish Welterweight titles. After a glittering career his life spiralled downwards out of control, hitting rock bottom. Only then did he do what he does best…fight back. Gary’s demons kept coming in different shapes and sizes. One by one they were overcome. And yet, as he grows older, he knows there are still more battles to be won.
