Our aim: to provide services and activities which embody our values, strengthen our Liberal Jewish identity and cater for the wide diversity of our members’ faith, practice and support needs. 

Our services: Shabbat Evening Services, Shabbat Morning Services

& Havdalah are all now a mixture of in-person and online via Zoom.

We welcome visitors to any services, but please get in touch to get

-----------------  Statement on the Gaza Situation  -----------------

Last Saturday, we celebrated Simchat Torah with many members of our community, including our cheder children. What started as a joyous day subsequently turned to one of horror when we learnt of the terrible attack by Hamas. We, as the co-chairs of Sukkat Shalom, Edinburgh Liberal Jewish Community, condemn the actions of Hamas which certainly amount to war crimes.

One of our designated charities for our Kol Nidrei appeal this year is "Combatants for Peace", and it is even more important at times like this that we support such organisations. As we supported them before Simchat Torah, so we continue to support them and their words today, when they explain that they are an "organization of ex-combatant Israelis and Palestinians, men and women, who have laid down their weapons and rejected all means of violence. We are working together to end the occupation of Palestine, bring just peace to the land, and demonstrate that Israelis and Palestinians can work and live together." As far away as it may seem, we hope and pray that such a time comes soon.
