16th February, 1.30pm, Southside Community Centre, Edinburgh

Our friends at Edinburgh Jewish Cultural Centre write:

The “Seeds of Hope” concert was held in October 2024 with music, poetry, prose and imagery chronicling the lives of refugees who have settled and flourished in Scotland. We are now inviting people to a follow-up workshop, to share your own migration stories.

This event will include a talk by Rodge on approaches to writing real lives, followed by a workshop which will encourage and facilitate attendees to write their own migration stories.

Dr Rodge Glass is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Strathclyde, where he is Convener of the MLitt in Creative Writing. He has published eight books, the most recent being nonfiction book Joshua in the Sky: A Blood Memoir (Taproot Press, September 2024).
